Keeping Up To Date - Current Awareness
Certain pieces of work may require you to keep up to date with a particular subject area. In these cases, a completed and well documented literature search can be revisited. Many databases can save your search history, allowing you to retrieve it and run it at a later date, or will let you save the search as an alert which will email you when something new is added which matches your search terms
Browsing the latest journals in your area is always a good habit to develop. There are also 'Table of Contents' (ToC) services that will allow you to do this. Some will even email you the latest contents listing, for example Zetoc.
