How many books can I borrow?

Books are issued in several loan categories at Ulster:

	Students	Staff	Renewals
2-month loan	12	25	2
2-week loan	4	4	2
2-day loan	4	4	None

Students can borrow 12 two month loans; 4 two week loans; 4 two day loans.
Staff can borrow 25 two month loans; 4 two week loans; 4 two day loans.

Two month and two week loan items can be renewed twice.

Contact your campus Library's Information Point for more information about borrowing, renewing and fines for late returns.

Anatomy of a Shelfmark

Oversize: At Coleraine and Derry-Londonderry larger books are kept in the Oversize Collection and are prefixed with an O or Oversize e.g. Oversize QH140.C25.

Pamphlet: A pamphlet is shelved in a box at the end of the run of books with the same shelfmark but is prefixed with the number 8

Black's Medical Dictionary

Contains more than five thousand definitions and descriptions of medical terms and concepts, with more than one thousand diagrams, drawings, and color illustrations, plus helpful appendices on common medical tests and procedures, travel and health, measurements in medicine, health economics, complementary and alternative medicine, and an address list of professional support organizations.
