Case studies are a proven and well-established teaching tool. They enable students to apply theoretical concepts in real world situations. To locate sources for finding business cases, the Library has prepared a Case Study guide. As well as using textbooks containing cases, it is possible to search a number of our key journal databases (ABI/Inform; Business Source Complete and Emerald) to filter search results to case studies. There are a range of specialist sources for obtaining case studies – some are freely available and other are priced (eg. The Case Centre and Harvard Business School Case Studies). The Ulster University Business School has an account to purchase items from The Cases Centre for teaching.
The Library subscribes to the Journal of Business Case Studies which is an excellent source for high quality detailed case studies. Login to this online journal using your email address and network password.
A Library Guide has been prepared to bring together some of the key sources for finding business case studies.
