Finding Business Newspaper Articles Online

If you are looking to source newspaper articles for a business assignment then the Library has the following online resources available:

The Economist – Articles from The Economist can be found in the ABI/Inform Collection. This database also contains articles from other news sources.  Search using your keywords then refine by ‘Source Type’ on the right hand side of the results page.

FT.com – Ulster University students can get online access to a 5-year archive of the FT newspaper. Go to www.ft.com and register using your Ulster University email address.

Nexis is a database of local, national and international newspapers – both broadsheets and tabloids. It contains newspapers from the early 1990s to the present. Why use it?

  • You can cross-search newspapers at once including UK national newspapers and also Irish newspapers.
  • The databases provide full text articles (without images).
  • You can search by journalist’s name, language, country or a single newspaper title (use the ‘Find Source’ tab).

If you want help in sourcing newspaper articles please contact your  campus business librarian.
