Citation Chaining

 

  • Citation chaining is a method that uses one good information source and links associated research,
    by searching within a document's citations (Reference List), and by searching for documents that cited this document.
  • It is a technique that is sometimes used when reviewing literature on a topic area. It will identify associated articles
    of relevance that have not been identified through the strict, linear database search.
  • Click on a document's title to show the document's details
  • There is an option to view all of the document's metrics below the title details and above the abstract
  • A blue hyperlink is a gateway to another associated resource, and other documents can be located through those listed in cited by,
    related documents, references at the bottom of the the article. SciVal topics and other author publications.

Authors' publications can be found by clicking on an author's name below the article title eg click on Perdue, David G.
