When accessing some OpenAthens protected resources for the first time, you may be faced with a generic OpenAthens login screen (see below).
If so, you must search using the 'Find your institution' box in order to navigate to the correct login page. A search for Ulster will present an Ulster University link.
Clicking the link will take you to the familiar single sign-on page as used by other Ulster University services. Logging in successfully here will take you to the desired e-resource.
For more information visit the Library's Guide to Accessing Resources Using OpenAthens.
Occasionally we may be unable to provide electronic access due to subscription restrictions. To find out if any restrictions are in place for a journal check the notes field on its entry in the Electronic Journals catalogue.
For some resources an additional password or creation of a personal account is needed. Find details of this for journals, from the Electronic Journals Catalogue and for databases, from the A-Z Database List.
We are here to help, take a look at some of the solutions on this guide and if you still are having difficulty don't hesitate to contact your Library team - Contact Us
