UK Data Services

Formerly called the Economic and Social Data Services, UK Data Services is " a comprehensive resource funded by the ESRC to support researchers, teachers and policymakers who depend on high-quality social and economic data.

Here you will find a single point of access to a wide range of secondary data including large-scale government surveys, international macrodata, business microdata, qualitative studies and census data from 1971 to 2011".

Government and Official Publications

A complete Library guide to European and Government Publications is available. It contains extensive coverage of print and online sources for a range of parliamentary and non-parliamentary materials, relating to Northern Ireland, Great Briain, the Republic of Ireland and the EU.

Featured site: ARK

 A joint resource between the two Northern Ireland universities, ARK was established in 2000. ARK has a single goal: to make social science information on Northern Ireland available to the widest possible audience.

It collates and directs research regarding life and society in Northern Ireland. It contains several research banks, including surveys; publications including briefing papers and research updates; information on politics and conflict and other useful data about Northern Ireland which is often diffcult to find.
