Using Northern Ireland Trust Libraries

Student membership of the Healthcare Library of Northern Ireland is available to students on placement within a Trust for a period of 6 or more weeks. 

However, as an Ulster University MBBS student, you do not need any special membership to to access the following Northern Ireland Trust Libraries:

Belfast Trust: Royal Victoria Hospital, Mulhouse Building

South Eastern Trust: QUB Medical Biology Centre

Northern Trust: Antrim Area Hospital

Southern Trust: Craigavon Hospital (access Library via Level 1)

Western Trust: Altnagelvin Area Hospital

 

At the Trust libraries you can:

  • Use the HSC free wifi on your own device - please note, you will not have access to the pcs. Free access will enable you to access Ulster University's Library homepage where you can access and read our electronic books, electronic journals and electronic databases.
  • Consult the print book and journal collection
  • Use the study spaces
