What is Pure?

Pure at Ulster header and link

Pure is the University's Research Repository. It contains journal articles, books, conference papers, data, reports, working papers, art exhibitions and more. Where possible, journal articles and conference proceedings are uploaded into Pure and made open access.

The Repository promotes research by making it available worldwide.

Support for Pure is provided by the Research Performance Team and you can book a one to one session or email Pure-Support@ulster.ac.uk for further help.

What version of my article can I upload to the Pure Repository?

The publisher of your article will specify which version you can upload.

This could be the Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM) , also known as the post-print. This is your corrected version of the paper, following the peer review process. It is usually a plain-text file inclusive of all changes resulting from peer review, but prior to copy-editing and typesetting. The content is the same as the Version of Record, but the layout will be different.

The Version of Record (VoR), also referred to as the final published version, is the final formatted published article as it appears on the publisher's website.
