For contributions or chapters in edited books:

The required elements for the reference are:

Contributing/chapter author’s Surname, INITIALS. (Year) Title of contribution/chapter. In: Surname, INITIALS. (editor of publication) ed./eds. Title of book. Edition (if not the first) Place of Publication: Publisher, page numbers of contribution.

Reference List

Example of the full reference at the end of your assignment - one author / one editor:

Fulton, J. (2013) Mentorship in podiatric practice. In: Hayes, C. ed. Professional practice for podiatric medicine. Cumbria: M&K Publishing, 31-43.

In-text citation

Example 1 - where there is one editor of the chapter, and the name occurs naturally in the sentence:

Fulton (2013) stated that...

  • If the ebook has page numbers, reference as for a print book following the template above.
  • If the ebook does not have page numbers, omit the page range but include the url and accessed date details as per the template below.
