For Regulations published after January 2015:

Other points to note

Points to note: 

  • From 1 January 2015, the numbering of EU legislation has changed. For all regulations, directives, decisions, recommendations and opinions published after this date, the legislation number is referenced as: year/number, e.g. Regulation (EU) 2021/56.
  • For EU legislation published before January 2015, for regulations, the running number precedes the year, e.g. Regulation (EU) No 517/2014.

  • Use Official Journal instead of the fuller title Official Journal of the European Union.
